Our PurposeThe purpose of Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Ministry (CPWM) is to accept and share the love and joy of Jesus Christ through the ministry of women in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. We seek to do this as we pray, study God's Word, and reach out to others through mission, service, encouragement, and fellowship opportunities. This goal is accomplished through a diversity of ministries.
Our theme this year is GO: it's a call to ministry beyond the walls of the church; a call to make the most of every opportunity to share God's love and the Good News of salvation in Christ. |
Circles |
First Cumberland has two women's ministry circles. Both are named in honor of wonderful church women whose service in the church and community inspire us.
Mildred Brown (1911-2005) was active in Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Ministry beginning in her teenage years. Her leadership at the local and regional level was invaluable.
