On Wednesdays during the school year, our church gathers for LOGOS. Students explore Scripture, sing, create art, and play games. They are assigned to a "table family" for the full LOGOS year: 2 adults and up to 3 kids who eat together, talk together, and build relationships as they share a family-style meal.
"Logos" is a Greek word meaning "word," "thought," "principle," or "speech." In a Christian context it is used in John 1:1 in reference to Jesus, "In the beginning was the logos, and the logos was with God, and the logos was God." Verse 14 says the Logos became flesh. In this spirit, our ministry of logos seeks to emphasize the embodiment of the Word. We want to exhibit the life of Christ in our own lifestyle. This means that we are very relational, as Jesus was relational. We seek to embody and exemplify the teachings of Jesus to those around us and teach these things to our children.
On a LOGOS evening, 40+ volunteers cook, teach, lead, clean, and mentor our students, making it a truly intergenerational time of fellowship.

The vision of LOGOS is to provide a safe environment where relationships with God and others can thrive and truly experience fellowship. God is the center of our gatherings, and we look for him to continue to grow fruit in our lives. We accomplish this through worship, bible study, and interactive activities. FCPC unifies its effort to promote intergenerational connection, love for God, and the expectation to experience him.
