It has been another busy week here on the loudest, messiest (and, in my opinion, most exciting!) corner of downtown Cleveland. Here's where all the noise (and mess--and progress) is coming from:
Concrete walls poured for the entry-area basement. Forms removed; waterproofing complete.
Space around the entry-area basement filled with gravel. You can see the footprint of that building more clearly now. It will be smaller than the Reese Building was.
"Sample" stone wall constructed, so the stone masons can figure out how to best match the new stone with the old. You can see that wall near the back door to the Fellowship Hall.
Cleaning and sealing of the existing stone and brick (including a bunch of new grout and caulk) complete--and some really cool overhead pictures taken! Thank you, US Rope Access / Top Glass, for being so wonderful to work with.
Despite the rain, work on the pad for the Fellowship Hall continues, too. Now it looks more "gravelly" than "muddy."
Demolition of interior stairs leading from the old Reese Building to the existing basement AND ground floor.
